Global steel production in January 2025

Global steel production in January 2025 decreased by 4.4% compared to the same month in 2024 – to 151.4 million tons.

The top three steel-producing countries in January 2025, according to World Steel Association (worldsteel):
China – 81.9 million tons;
India – 13.6 million tons;
Japan – 6.8 million tons.
